MAKAYLA KINZER
Architectural design + 2028
Owner of Kinzer Studio
Most of my work is created in a contemporary style of art, one that’s more modern and unlike the traditional art pieces you would typically think of. On a deeper level, I create each piece with the intention of demonstrating the raw emotion found within oneself. I demonstrate this deliberately through the use of shape, color choices, and other artistic elements. The line that I am going to be focusing on the most is graffiti/street-art style.

TESS RILEY
Honors Interdisciplinary Studies + 2028
Owner of Riles Designs Co.
In 2020, our world hit pause, but my mind hit go. While nurses were fighting to save lives on the frontlines, I was compelled to take the bad and turn it into good. I started making bracelets to give out to nurses with encouraging words on them. The feeling of impacting each nurse evoked a new drive in my heart, something I was inspired to chase after at a young age. This passion project inspired me to create a business selling jewelry in which I donate a portion of the proceeds to causes close to my heart: Childhood Cancer Research, Cystic Fibrosis Research, and Autism Awareness. I decided to donate to these three causes on account of knowing and loving three local children with each condition. Intention is at the heart of who I am as a person and what my small business stands for.

Sunfolk began with quiet days by the ocean and a small handful of shells collected from the coast. What started as a way to hold onto that feeling - soft light, worn tides, and long quiet days - turned into something to share. Each piece is made with shells collected by hand - shaped simply, worn easily, and made to carry the quietness of the coast.
